New Range Hoods Trends 2021

What are the new 2021 Range Hoods trends?

You will probably not be surprised that, in 2021 more and more people will be looking for HIDDEN, INVISIBLE HOODS. That was the trend in 2020, but in 2021 they will be the most used hoods.

We call them few different names: Built-in hoods, Power packs or Inserts, but they are all the same thing - hoods that are hidden. They're built into the cabinetry above the cook-top for a custom approach to venting. This is a hood that is recessed in a box, custom made out of wood, plaster, metal or stone.

A built in range hood is mounted inside existing cabinetry and above the cooktop, concealing much of the range hood’s body. This range hoods are typically ducted to the outside, providing fast and efficient ventilation. The built in range hood is a great option when you want to get creative with available space.

The only thing visible of this hood after installation is the bottom section.

Today's open-living concepts integrate rooms, and allow uninterrupted sight-lines within the living space and on to the world outside. Built-in/power packs are a hidden ventilation alternatives for the kitchen. It’s a simple, behind-the-scenes solution that eliminates smoke and odors without ever being noticed.

The good thing:

You could create unlimited unique designs, everything that comes to your mind is possible if you find the right builder to build it. The advantage of such hood is that you could decide what material you like, shape, height, width... everything.

The bad thing:

The disadvantage is that built in hoods are more difficult to make and install, slower to finish and are more costly, because the hood price will be similar if you purchase a built in or wall mount ( finished) hood, but the hood shell is always extra cost. Sometimes, a lot more than the hood itself. Online, you would find million design ideas and 'how to make it' videos.

Ceiling Mount Range Hoods ( Top trend 2021)

Recessed ceiling hoods are designed to be mounted within the ceiling over your island cooktop, concealing most of the range hood’s body and making the base of the kitchen hood flush with the ceiling for a more streamlined, minimalist kitchen design. While this type of island vent hood presents a clean and open looking space, its distance from the cooktop reduces its ability to quickly and efficiently remove contaminants and grease from the air. Those type hoods are NOT RECOMMENDED FOR HEAVY COOKING. This can perhaps be remedied by installing a drop ceiling ( bulkhead ) in your kitchen to decrease the amount of space between your stove and the island hood.

Victory Sunset ( Our made in Canada Ceiling mount Hood )

We are very proud with this hood. After long engineering process and design, we came up with this design ( on your right ). It is made in our factory in Port Coquitlam BC, Canada. We made this unit specifically to fit a standard North American ceilings with joists spaced 16 inches on center. It is available ONLY on our website. We ship this hood all across North America.

This is the only range hood on the market that is specifically designed to be installed between joists. Custom made by Victory Range Hoods for low ceilings, recessed in the ceiling. Only the bottom plate will be visible after installation. It comes with 38" x 19" bottom visible plate. You will be able to control this beautiful hood from the switch located on the wall. You electrician will need to run 5 cables between the switch on the wall and the ceiling mounted hood. We do not recommend this hood for ceilings higher than 8'. If installed at 9', 10' or higher above the floor, the efficiency will be reduced significantly. The higher you install the hood, the less efficient this hood will be.

Victory Sky

You will be able to control this beautiful hood from the switch located between the lights, or by using the remote control. The 6" vent can be rotated to all 4 sides, except the top.
