DAMAGES POLICY

We accept damage claims for items that have been delivered with notable damage. You must meet the following criteria in order for the claim to be valid:

  • Delivery was NOT refused. Refused deliveries are considered returns and the standard Returns Policy will apply.
  • The damage claim was initiated within 10 business days of delivery
  • Photos of the damage to the product, outside box and shipping label(s) were provided within 10 business days of delivery
  • The product was not installed
  • You have the original box and all packing materials

LARGE ITEM DAMAGES POLICY

For any Freight deliveries (Manitoulin Transport, Day & Ross, etc.) we accept damage claims for items that have been delivered with notable damage. You must meet the following criteria in order for the claim to be valid:

  • Delivery was NOT refused. Refused deliveries are considered returns and the standard Returns Policy will apply.
  • Damage to the outside box must be noted on the BOL (Bill of Lading) upon accepting delivery.
  • The damage claim was initiated within 10 business days of delivery
  • Photos of the damage to the product, outside box and shipping label(s) were provided within 10 business days of delivery
  • The product was not installed
  • You have the original box and all packing materials

We will do everything in our ability to resolve your damage claim with the shipping company. Damage claims can take up to 30 days to resolve. If your damage claim is approved, we will work with you to find the best solution. We reserve the right to deny a damage claim if it fails to meet any of the above criteria.

CLAIM DAMAGE 

SUGGESTIONS FOR ACCEPTING DELIVERY:

  • If asked to sign for the delivery, make sure to note any shipping damage to the outside box before acceping it.
  • Open the product box ASAP to inspect it for any damage from shipping (most units come with a plug and can be tested).
  • Do NOT store the range hood for months without first checking to ensure there is no shipping damage.
  • Do NOT install damaged products if you wish to exchange the item.

WARRANTY CLAIMS:

The following cases are related to the warranty of the product and cannot be processed as a damage claim (please refer to the Warranty Policy):

  • The item is not working after installation
  • A part of the product fails
  • A replacement part is required

EXCEPTIONS:

We DO NOT accept damage claims if any of the following apply:

  • The claim is made more than 2 weeks after delivery

  • Photos of the damage are not provided within 10 business days

  • Damage was not noted on the delivery Bill of Lading (for Large Items) when it was signed and accepted

  • The product is/was installed
